Broken Spirits, a once-booming barbecue spot located on the beautiful Long Beach Promenade, has seen its numbers drop 40%. Now, with only three months before they’ll have to close for good, owner Isaias has reached out to Chef Antonia Lofaso for help. With Antonia’s sous-chef Nestor Milian embedded in the kitchen, they soon discover a disgusting workspace and a complete lack of leadership from the kitchen manager. Meanwhile, the front of the house is completely out of control. With the clock ticking towards closure, Antonia tries to improve Broken Spirits’ procedures, food, and attitudes before Isaias’ spirit is completely broken forever.
